Bath Sword Club

Latest Covid News from the University

Whilst the Government has allowed some relaxation surrounding sports participation, this has not yet extended to the majority of sports that the University cater for and as such most of the Sports Training Village, Founders Hall and Sulis Club facilities remain closed.  With this in mind  all further Bath Sword Club bookings for June 2020 have been cancelled and the University will let us know if they can accommodate any of our proposed July 2020 bookings once they know when their  doors will reopen again.  If they are able to reopen the doors at any point during the month of June they have assured us that they will be in touch regarding the reinstatement of any cancelled sessions.

In anticipation of Founders  Hall doors finally re-opening, the University are in the process of producing guidelines for accessing campus, movement around the buildings, etc. and copies of these documents will be made available to the club in due course.  In the meantime, we have produced updated Risk Assessments for the activities BSC undertake in the Founders Hall prior and post COVID 19 and forwarded them to the University These Risk Assessments  allow for the latest Covid 19 Government advice & individual British Fencing guidelines around social distancing, safe numbers, training parameters, etc., although we do appreciate that this information is changing on an almost daily basis.
