Bath Sword Club has top level coaches in all weapons

Tim
Head Coach & Foil
A coach with 18 years experience, British Fencing U20 & U17 squad coach and a British Fencing Coach Educator. Tim has coached a number of young fencers on an individual basis including National U13, U15, U17, U20 & U23 champions and many who have represented Great Britain and England in U15 and U17, U20 & U23 events. Tim is a British Fencing Talent Coach, working with the British Fencing Talent Pathway team working with selected British fencers at overseas events, including the 2018 & 2019 Cadet & Junior European and World Championships Tim leads a development squad, based in Bath, of U/11 - U/17 fencers who are aiming to improve their skills to prepare for competitions and progression to the senior club.
Rob
Epee / Foil
Rob is a BFA Level 3 Coach in epee and foil. He has been a member of the GB Senior coaching team for 15 years; he was Cornwall County Coach and Development Officer for 5 years and is a tutor for BFA Coach Development courses. Rob is a British Fencing Talent Coach, and is closely involved with coaching with at the National Pentathelete Training Centre. This year Rob won a lifetime achievement award from British Fencing. He is an accomplished fencer in his own right, having been Junior World Foil Champion (1976) and competed in the Montreal (1976), Moscow (1980) and Los Angeles (1984) Olympics in the GB Epee and Foil teams. 
Mike
Foil / Epee
Mike is a qualified coach in both Foil and Epee, teaching both weapons in school and club sessions around Bath, Bristol and Glastonbury. He started coaching while at University in Plymouth.Mike has made Good headway as a an England Squad coach, being selected to coach the England Foil team at the UK School Games in 2015 and 2017, and travelling abroad the past couple of years with the England under 15 foil squad to International competitions in Paris and Poland. This year Mike has been working as a British national development coach. In this role Mike has been working with the British U17 and U20 Foil squads at national training days.
Sandra
Epee
Sandra is a qualified coach in all 3 weapons although she focuses more on Epee (level 3) and Foil (level 2). She has trained in Hungary for her F.I.E coaching diploma. She has been coaching in schools in the South West of England for the last 8 years and has more recently become closely involved in forging links between Bath Sword Club and the wider community. Over the last year she has become increasingly involved with coach education for British fencing.
Nat
Sabre
Nat is a qualified Level 5 FIE Sabre coach and has been coaching professionally ever since he graduated from University. He works in a number of clubs and schools in the South West, ranging from Taunton and Millfield School to Bristol and Bath. For the past 4 years Nat has been an England u15 sabre coach travelling with the squad to coach them at international competitions. He has recently been appointed as a British national development coach. In this role he works with the British U17 and U20 Sabre squads, both at national training days and abroad.Our Coaching Ethos

Paul
Epee
Paul is a member of Bath Sword Club who fences Epee and regualrly competes in various competitions on the national circuit (senior and verterans). He recently represented the UK at the World Veterans Fencing Championships in Italy.Paul is a regular attendee of the senior epee club. As a mentor and experienced fencer he will help any new members with our arcane ways and offer (non contractually binding!) advice should you ask him.

Tony
Foil
Tony is a long-standing member of Bath Sword Club who fences Foil and competes in various competitions on the national circuit (senior and veterans).Tony is a regular attendee of the senior foil club. He has brought up 2 sons through the club and although he's left the club to go to University we expect to hear much more about Rob! As a mentor and experienced fencer he will help any new members to understand ways and offer (non contractually binding!) advice should you ask him.

Jane
Sabre
is a member of Bath Sword Club who fences Sabre and Epee at international level. She regualrly competes in various competitions on the national and international circuit (senior and verterans). She recently represented the UK at the World Veterans fencing championships in Italy, reaching the podium in both individual and team events.Jane is a regular attendee of the senior sabre club. As a mentor and experienced fencer she will help any new members with our arcane ways and offer (non contractually binding!) advice should you ask her.
